Tom Dockner & his origins
The Traisental valley is my home, the focal point of my life and also my calling. My wines are an expression of all these. They literally have their roots in the soils and climate. The fertile soils consist of Traisental conglomerate rock and glacial gravel. Our unique climate is a result of the influences of the hot air of the Pannonian region, the cool forest air from the Dunkelsteinerwald and the stabilizing effects of the Danube valley. This interaction allows us to create distinctive wines with great character, whose unique origin can perceived within their flavours.
